Mission

To enable learners to develop a life of faith in God, and to use their knowledge, skills, and understandings to serve God and humanity.

Description

Riverside Adventist Academy is located in the beautiful area of Meghalaya, India next to the Didram River. Volunteers often act as teachers and fill their days teaching at the boarding school. In their free time, they can be found going on hikes, playing sports, or visiting the locals.

A typical day consists of teaching classes from 8am-1pm. After lunch, dorm students begin their work programs which finish around 3pm. Volunteers then have free time to play various activities with students before dinner. After dinner, volunteers can take the time to lesson plan or relax. Volunteers also have the opportunity to go to the weekly market on Wednesdays.
