About Paul Rhynard

Current Roles
Paul Rhynard is Associate Professor of Management & Strategy and Director of the MBA program at Walla Walla University, where he leads the development and growth of the new graduate business program. He also currently serves as Interim VP of Finance. In addition, he is CEO of FOG Wellness, a Medi-Weightloss franchise, where he is executing a strategic growth plan to expand the company's presence in the Portland, Oregon, market.

Education
Rhynard holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business where he was a Shermet Scholar. He attained his Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Finance) from Walla Walla University, graduating Summa cum Laude. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Professional & Academic Journey
Before starting FOG Wellness, Rhynard served as CEO of Wilkinson Baking Company, a food robotics company that developed the world's first automated large-volume bread-baking machine. During his two-year tenure, he increased BreadBot placements twelvefold and positioned the company for significant long-term growth. Previously, he was Chief Strategy Officer at Russell Investments, a global investment firm, where he managed over $300 billion in AUM. At Russell, he developed enterprise strategy, represented the company in merger and acquisition discussions, led the transformation office, oversaw corporate communications, and served as the CEO's representative to the company's internal innovation lab.  Prior to Russell Investments, he was the Executive Vice-President of Joshua Green Corporation, a large family office, where he helped manage the private investments portfolio. Prior to Joshua Green, he spent years at McKinsey & Co. advising investor organizations—including traditional asset managers, private equity firms, and pension funds—on strategy and growth initiatives.

Beyond the Classroom 
Before joining WWU as an employee, Rhynard spent 14 years as a WWU Trustee. He is a member of the local Rotary club.  He enjoys living in the Walla Walla Valley with his wife and their three young boys.
