About Lana Van Dorn

Current Roles
Lana is the heart of the Walla Walla University School of Business.  As the office manager, she keeps the department running smoothly with exceptional organization, professionalism, and care. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, she assists with a wide variety of school events, including evening Colloquiums and the Senior Trip.  On top of regular office duties, she serves as a key academic advisor, for which she won the WWU Excellence in Advising Award.

Known affectionately as "department mom," Lana creates a welcoming environment where students feel supported both personally and professionally. Whether offering encouragement during a difficult day, celebrating student successes, or simply lending a listening ear, she goes above and beyond to make every student feel valued.

Beyond the Office
Lana is also a gifted card maker who handcrafts hundreds of beautiful cards each year for students and staff. Her thoughtfulness, creativity, and genuine investment in others have made her an invaluable member of the School of Business and someone who leaves a positive and lasting impact on everyone she meets.
