At-a-glance Enrollment Steps

Guide students through one of their most important decisions—college—with clarity and confidence:

  • Walk through these simple steps with your students and their families. Remember, all they need to do is take the next step.
  • Remind students that they won’t navigate the process alone, many people are ready to help.
  • Encourage them to visit WWU in person to explore their options and get in-person help with their questions.

Simple Steps to Enrollment

Step 1: Apply and be accepted

Encourage students to submit an enrollment application online. After they apply, a WWU recruiter will guide them through the acceptance process.

Why this matters

Applying early helps students begin conversations about fit, affordability, and next steps sooner—before pressure and deadlines set in.

Step 2: After acceptance

Once accepted, students can activate their WWU account. Call (509) 527-2317 if they have questions or need help activating this account.

They will also apply for financial aid, including completing the FAFSA, and pay the enrollment fee. Financial services staff are available to help families understand aid and costs along the way. Call them at (509) 527-2815, or email student.financials@wallawalla.edu.

Why this matters

Early acceptance can open the door to more financial aid, and gives time for clearer financial conversations and planning.

Step 3: Prepare for arrival

In the months leading up to their enrollment, students arrange housing, enroll in classes with academic advisors by calling (509) 527-2132, submit health information, and they may even attend JumpStart orientation. Each step is designed to help students arrive prepared and supported.

Why this matters

Students who complete these steps early feel more confident, connected, and ready when they arrive on campus. Remember, your dedicated recruiter can help you support your students and their families: Carlos Martinez at carlos.martinez@wallawalla.edu or (509) 527-2327.
