Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award
This award recognizes those alumni who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication and service to Walla Walla University through long-term volunteer activity—advancing the mission of the university and strengthening community ties. Consideration is given to the length and depth of activity and the lasting impact they have had on the university. A maximum of three awards may be presented annually. Honorees are announced and celebrated during Homecoming Weekend, held annually in April.
Eligibility and Nominations
Honorees are chosen by members of the WWU Alumni Council in conjunction with the WWU Alumni Foundation. Nominations may come from fellow alumni, faculty, and/or staff members of the university.
Candidates will be evaluated based on:
* the length and breadth of their activities and leadership.
* their unique and/or unsung contributions to WWU.
* the positive impact that they have had on behalf of WWU.
Gifts to WWU, professional achievements, and non-WWU volunteer service are not considered when selecting honorees.
