The Master of Initial Teaching (MIT) program at Walla Walla University is a fast-paced, in-person pathway designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree and want to become certified teachers in Washington State. This immersive, graduate-level program prepares you for real-world classroom leadership through a blend of academic coursework and hands-on experience in local schools all within the context of a Christian worldview. Whether you want to teach in an elementary classroom, work with special education students, or focus on a specific content area in secondary education, the MIT provides the foundation and credentials to start your teaching career strong.

You'll complete over 450 hours of supervised student teaching across three quarters, gaining practical experience under the guidance of experienced mentor teachers. - No GRE required
- Statement of purpose and related experience (maximum 500 words)
