What can your career path as a nursing major look like?

Your journey into professional nursing begins with graduating from an approved program and successfully passing the NCLEX licensure exam. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is increasingly the standard for practice and is preferred by many healthcare organizations because it prepares graduates for the full range of professional opportunities.

Nursing remains one of the most in-demand and trusted professions, offering strong employment stability, competitive salaries, and high job satisfaction. A BS in nursing prepares you to care for individuals, families, and communities across the lifespan in a wide range of settings, including hospitals, public and community health, schools, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and home health. The degree also opens doors to specialty practice and graduate study in advanced practice, leadership, research, and consulting, supported by excellent career mobility and diverse professional pathways.
