Grounds Department

Services

The Grounds department provides maintenance for the campus landscape and provides lawn care for select campus rental properties. If you have questions or concerns regarding the maintenance or care of campus grounds, please call (509) 527-2346 or email grounds@wallawalla.edu


Work for grounds

With approximately 20-40 employees (depending on the season) during the school year, the Grounds Department is able to provide many students with job opportunities. Students working for this department enjoy a flexible work schedule, typically afternoon or evening hours, which is conducive for academic pursuits.

Grounds workers are assigned to crews ranging from three to eight students each. Every crew has a designated area and supervisor, either staff or student, who is responsible for overseeing that area.
