Evensong

Service of sacred music and readings presented by the WWU Department of Music

On Sabbath, Feb. 22, at 5 p.m. in the University Church, Kraig Scott, professor of music at Walla Walla University, and several of his students will present Evensong. This service of sacred music and readings is free and open to the public.

“Evensong is a beautiful way to end the Sabbath, and a tradition on this campus for about 50 years,” Scott said. “We present this quiet, sundown worship service about eight or nine times each year. It is always timed to coincide with sundown, so the start times vary. The format is simple—music interspersed with readings.”

The University Church is located at 212 SW 4th Street, College Place, Washington.
