Choir and Orchestra Festival

High schools visit campus for a weekend of music

Walla Walla University will host the annual WWU Department of Music Choir and Orchestra Festival Jan. 7 to 10. Students from more than 20 high schools will visit the WWU campus for the festival.

Members of the WWU community are invited to attend a special vespers service at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, in the University Church. The program will feature a variety of ensembles from the WWU Department of Music. The climax of the weekend will be a festival concert held in the University Church at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10. This concert will be presented by the visiting high school choirs and orchestras.

This event provides an opportunity for high school students to visit WWU and to get acquainted with the campus. Both performances are free and open to the public. The University Church is located at 212 S.W. Fourth St., College Place.

Watch the concert live on Jan. 10 at 4 p.m. at wallawalla.edu/concert.
