Camps and Other Summer Ministries

Camps and ministries across North America are dedicated to youth outreach, discipleship, and service. Each summer, students have the opportunity to serve, grow spiritually, and gain valuable work experience through a variety of ministry settings. Directors from different organizations are eager to meet and recruit students each January on campus.

Apply to work at a Summer Camp!

Many college students spend their summers earning money in preparation for the next school year. So why not have fun with it? Apply to work at a Summer Camp! If teaching classes ranging anywhere from archery to pottery or spending time sharing the love of Jesus with kids as a counselor is speaking to you, simply click on a camp below and fill out their staff application.

Apply for Other Summer Ministries and Opportunities!

Students may also participate in a variety of approved summer ministries and literature evangelism programs. These opportunities provide meaningful ways to serve while developing communication, leadership, and faith-based outreach skills. Please see the links below to apply!

Summer Camp and Colporteur Scholarships

Did you know that Walla Walla University matches up to 75% of a student’s gross summer earnings when working at an overnight summer camp or serving as a colporteur during the summer prior to the start of the school year? The maximum scholarship match is $2,000. Your scholarship will be split in half and applied equally to Winter and Spring Quarters of the following school year.

The Camp Match Scholarship is available to students who work at any overnight camp, regardless of whether it is an Adventist camp or not.

Listed below are several camps that qualify for the Walla Walla University Summer Camp Scholarship, along with websites for literature evangelism and other ministry opportunities that may also qualify for this scholarship. Scholarships are processed upon receipt of your final summer pay stub. Please email it to the SFS office at Student.Financials@wallawalla.edu.
