Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply and register for online courses?

It depends on whether you are taking courses for credit or not. The registration web site has step-by-step procedures for application and registration. If you have further questions about registration, please contact the WWU Registrar.

Can I take an online course if I am on campus?

Yes, you can. If your class is offered on campus, however, you are strongly encouraged to take the face-to-face course because you will probably have more opportunity to interact with your instructor and other students.

How do I get books and course materials?

Early planning is your best option. Course texts and materials are listed at Course Materials. You may order texts from a book vendor. Some course materials must be ordered from the U-Shop.

What's the best way to get in touch with my instructor?

Your instructor has an email account that is accessible in your online course. Instructors may also post additional contact information in the course site such as telephone numbers and office hours. Check the "Faculty Information" tab in your course web site for additional contact information.

How can I get help when I need it?

Getting your system operating correctly can be extremely frustrating. Email support is available at support@wallawalla.edu. Phone support is available during the school session from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Pacific) Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to Noon on Friday at (509) 527-2317. The Customer Support Helpdesk has additional information.

Are my records kept private?

All web traffic through the WWU website is encrypted. Access to your online course is password protected. Only your instructor or designated teaching assistant has access to the grade book. Please keep your password private. If others need access to online courses, they should have separate accounts.
