This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Walla Walla University Master of Social Work program in Missoula, Montana. To celebrate, the university will hold a series of events throughout Montana in May and June.
Suicide Prevention Seminar (Helena)—On Tuesday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a seminar on suicide prevention in Trinity Hall at Carroll College in Helena, Montana, presented by Randi Hankins, Walla Walla University MSW alumnus. Trinity Hall is located at 1601 Benton Ave., Helena. This event is free and open to the community. Continuing education credits will be available with a fee of $20.
Pie and Social Work Career Talk (Helena)—On Tuesday, May 2, from 4 to 6 p.m., join us at Carroll College—Trinity Hall, 1601 Benton Ave., Helena, to enjoy a slice of pie and talk with WWU faculty and alumni, Randi Hankins and Laurelle Warner, to discover what is new at WWU. Anyone interested in learning more about a career in social work is encouraged to attend. There will be a $50 application fee waiver for anyone who chooses to apply for the Walla Walla University social work program.
Pie and Social Work Career Talk (Kalispell)—On Thursday, May 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., join us at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, 1390 U.S. Highway 2 West, Kalispell to enjoy a slice of pie and talk with WWU faculty to discover what is new at WWU. Anyone interested in learning more about a career in social work is encouraged to attend. There will be a $50 application fee waiver for anyone who chooses to apply for Walla Walla University social work program.
Solution-Focused Therapy Seminar (Missoula)—On Thursday, June 7, from 4 to 7 p.m., on the WWU Missoula campus, 2415 Mullan Rd., Missoula, Ann Szalda-Petree will present a seminar on Solution- Focused Therapy. Continuing education credits will be available.
Missoula Campus Tour (Missoula)—On Tuesday, June 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., WWU alumni and prospective students are invited to the WWU Missoula campus, 2415 Mullan Rd., Missoula, to tour the new and improved space. Anyone interested in learning more about a career in social work is encouraged to attend. There will be a $50 application fee waiver for anyone who chooses to apply for the Walla Walla University social work program.
