Inspirational author Bob Goff to speak at WWU

New York Times best-selling author and speaker Bob Goff will present at the weekly Walla Walla University chapel program, CommUnity, on Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. Goff is the author of “Love Does,” a humorous, thought-provoking collection of essays. In the book, Goff uses his whimsy and life experience to portray faith in God as something simple and real.

Goff encourages his listeners and readers to live a lifestyle that fiercely seeks out ways of showing love. Goff’s own life is a testament to this message. A practicing attorney for over 25 years, Goff now teaches nonprofit law at Pepperdine Law School and business law at Point Loma Nazarene University. Goff is also the founder of Restore International, a nonprofit human rights organization operating in Uganda, India, and Somalia. The advocacy group has brought hundreds of cases to trial, pursuing justice, intervention, and education for at-risk women and children in developing countries.

As a presenter, Goff is a pioneer in leadership, team building, and inspirational wisdom. His impressive client list includes the Barna Group, YMCA, World Vision, Living Water International, and the Global Leadership Summit. He has even taken his leadership expertise to Africa, where the Restore Leadership Academy in Northern Uganda educates over 300 students with a focus on character and leadership development.

CommUnity is held at the University Church, which is located at 212 SW Fourth St., College Place. This event is free and open to the public.
