In March, Mihail Motzev, professor of business, was invited by the dean of the Association for Business Simulation and Experiential Learning to present the results of his research at their annual conference. Motzev teaches quantitative methods and information systems for Walla Walla University’s School of Business. ABSEL is an international pedagogical conference that examines all aspects of teaching. The organization strives to develop and promote both innovative and effective methods for teaching in business-related fields.
The conference took place this year in Seattle, Wash., and Motzev’s presentation was accepted with great interest by the audience members in attendance. Due to his success and expertise in business simulation and experiential learning, he has been invited to make another presentation next year at the 2019 ABSEL Conference in San Diego, Calif.
Along with his presentation, Motzev’s research about statistical learning networks in simulations for business training and education was also recognized by ABSEL. This research has since been published, without any changes or recommendations from Motzev’s peers, in ABSEL’s E-Journal after receiving positive reviews and high praise.
