Organist Douglas Cleveland to perform organ concert

Renowned organist Douglas Cleveland will present an organ recital in the Walla Walla University Church on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 5 p.m. Cleveland will perform classic and modern works by composers such as Louis Marchand, David Dahl, J.S. Bach, Joseph Jongen, George Baker, and David Briggs.

Cleveland is a John Delo Faculty Fellow in Organ at the University of Washington (UW) and teaches organ in the UW School of Music. He keeps a regular recital schedule and has performed around the world and in 48 of the United States. He holds degrees from The Eastman School of Music and Indiana University. In addition to teaching and touring, Cleveland is the director of music and liturgical arts at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Medina, Washington.

The Walla Walla University Church is located at 212 S.W. Fourth Street in College Place. The recital is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.
