Practicalnursing.org has ranked Walla Walla University’s L.P.N. to B.S. entry program best overall in the state of Washington. This program focuses on advancing the qualifications for Licensed Practical Nurses (L.P.N.s) to obtain their Bachelor of Science in nursing (B.S.).
The study considers various critical functions of each university’s program, including academic quality, affordability, and student success. The rankings are then developed using several data systems such as the National Center for Education Statistics and the State Board of Nursing reports.
The nursing program, conducted at WWU’s campus in Portland, Oregon, offers a path tailored for L.P.N.s to use their previous experience while also providing necessary education and guidance to obtain a B.S. in nursing. Through standardized exams and clinical experience, students follow a structured program dedicated to preparing them for the NCLEX examination and their careers after graduation. In 2023, the WWU RN-NCLEX pass rate was 94.9%, outscoring the national average by 4.74%.
