WWU music department presents end-of-year symphony orchestra concert

On May 25 at 7:30 p.m., Walla Walla University’s symphony orchestra will perform their end of the year concert. This event is free and open to the community to come and listen to some great music performed by WWU musicians. The symphony orchestra features strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion instruments, and is conducted by Brandon Beck, associate professor of music. 

The performance will feature music from several renowned composers such as Mozart and Beethoven. Two of their pieces will feature student music majors. Mozart’s “Clarinet Concerto in A Major K622 II. Adagio” will feature Jaimie Palmer, senior music education major, on the clarinet. Beethoven’s “Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor, OP.37 I. Allegro Con Brio” will feature Yena Cho, senior predent music major, on the piano. The concert is free but donations are accepted. 

The concert will take place in the Walla Walla University Church at 212 SW Fourth St., College Place.
