Sold-out debate between candidates for 5th Congressional District prompts need for second community gathering location

A livestream of the debate between candidates for Eastern Washington’s 5th Congressional District Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-incumbent) and Lisa Brown (D-challenger) will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. in Village Hall on the Walla Walla University campus.

Tickets for the debate, which will take place live at Walla Walla Community College, sold out quickly, prompting the need for a second location for area residents to gather as a community to watch the much-anticipated debate.

The event at WWU is jointly sponsored by the Associated Students of Walla Walla University and the WWU Department of History and Philosophy.

The livestream is free and open to the public. Village Hall is located at 207 S. College Ave., College Place.
