Walla Walla General Hospital to provide health services at Walla Walla University

Walla Walla University and Walla Walla General Hospital/Adventist Health are pleased to announce that Adventist Health will provide health services for WWU students, faculty, and staff on the university campus in College Place beginning Sept. 1, 2015.

This partnership represents a new model of campus health care at WWU that will offer 24-hour access to an advanced registered nurse practitioner, a medical assistant, or an on-call physician. The clinic will provide insurance billing for students, faculty, and staff, who should come to the clinic prepared to present their insurance card and driver’s license and/or WWU ID card.

“It is our desire to operate a health clinic at WWU that understands and complements the unique needs of a university campus,” says Monty Knittel, WWGH president and CEO.

“One of the key benefits of this new partnership for students, faculty, and staff will continue to be the convenient location of the clinic,” said Hilary Catlett, WWU dean of students. The clinic will be housed in Meske Hall on the university campus at 133 S. College Ave., in College Place. Future plans call for a new clinic location.

“We recognize and celebrate the professionalism and ministry of the previous Campus Health and Wellness team led by Wanda Nelson,” said David Richardson, WWU vice president for Student Life and Mission. “Our staff, faculty, and students have benefited from excellent care by a group of committed health care professionals that was dedicated to student success and generosity in service.”
