Therefore, the University seeks to educate students, faculty, and staff about these issues and to provide a means of recourse for those students who believe they have experienced such behavior. The University reserves the right to respond with whatever measures it deems appropriate to prevent sexual misconduct and preserve the safety and well-being of its students.
What is Title IX?
No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be
denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or
activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
