Student Learning Outcomes

Mission Statement

We strive to provide the best design education possible. Our students learn how to think like a designer, how to generate and communicate design concepts, and how to work professionally in a collaborative setting. In turn, we hope our graduates have an ethical and creative impact on the world around them. 

Student Learning Outcomes: 

  1. Students will master the design process and apprehend the foundational thinking skills: design research, concept development, and visual communication. 
  2. Students will gain the technical skills for the development, communication, and manufacture of products: sketching, model making & fabrication, and CAD (computer-aided design). 
  3. Students will experience routine group learning environments and develop the soft skills that enable collaboration: critique, teamwork, group communication.
