Automotive Service — Associate of Science
Students graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Automotive Technology will be able to:
1. Perform routine inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of major automotive systems using established service procedures.
2. Safely and correctly use automotive tools, equipment, diagnostic devices, and technical service information.
3. Apply foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer-controlled automotive systems to common service tasks.
4. Document and communicate inspection, diagnostic, and repair procedures using appropriate technical terminology and workplace documentation.
5. Demonstrate professional, ethical, and safety-conscious behavior in automotive service environments.
Automotive Service — Bachelor of Science
Students graduating with a Bachelor of Science major in Automotive Service will be able to:
1. Integrate and analyze mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer-controlled automotive systems to diagnose complex service problems.
2. Develop and justify evidence-based diagnostic, repair, and maintenance strategies using testing data and technical information.
3. Evaluate service solutions based on safety, reliability, cost, sustainability, customer needs, and industry standards.
4. Communicate technical findings, service recommendations, and operational improvements to technical and nontechnical audiences.
5. Demonstrate professionalism, ethical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning in the automotive industry.
Automotive Management — Bachelor of Science
Students graduating with a Bachelor of Science major in Automotive Management will be able to:
1. Integrate advanced knowledge of automotive systems to analyze complex service and diagnostic problems.
2. Develop and justify evidence-based diagnostic and repair strategies.
