Insurance
WWU automotive students are strongly encouraged to purchase renters insurance to cover any vehicles (including project cars) kept on Walla Walla University property. The university does not provide insurance to cover a student’s personal vehicle parked in WWU lots and this is the responsibility of the student. Family homeowner policies may provide limited coverage or renters insurance. Residents’ personal property insurance coverage is highly advisable and can be purchased for a nominal fee online (see below). You should check with your insurance agent and request a written note on what is and is not covered under your homeowners policy. Verify whether there are limitations on computers, electronics, or other such things, the coverage limit, and the deductible amount, which is typically much higher than a student personal property insurance policy.
