The Walla Walla University Department of Music will present a secular recital on February 24 featuring Kraig Scott, professor of music, on piano and guest artist Joseph Brooks on clarinet. Scott and Brooks have collaborated numerous times in the past and enjoy performing music from a variety of genres. 

Spanning his career of nearly 40 years, Joseph Brooks has held principal chairs and has been a featured soloist on the clarinet, oboe, and saxophone. As a guest artist and clinician, he frequently visits college campuses throughout the United States. He has served as the solo clarinetist with the United States Continental Army Band, principal clarinet and featured soloist with the Rome Festival Orchestra, and has been heard in recital at the International Clarinet Convention. Brooks has been on the faculty at WWU, Whitman College, Western Kentucky University, and is currently a professor at Central Washington University. 

The recital will take place on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium, located at 200 S. College Ave. The event is free and open to the public; however, donations are welcome.
