The annual Department of Music Christmas concert will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, with two separate performances at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively in the University Church.
The theme for the concert, Angels We have Heard, will draw the listener to reflect on the role of angels in announcing Christ’s birth. Led by choral director, Kraig Scott, professor of music, and orchestra director, Brandon Beck, associate professor of music, the concert will feature pieces including “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” by Johann Sebastian Bach; “Alleluia, Venite Gaudete” by Gary Fry; and “Joy to the World” by Anthony Dilorenzo.
The concert is free and open to the public. The University Church is located at 212 S.W. Fourth Street, College Place, Washington.
