Evensong is a sundown service that combines the spoken word with selections of music for a simple and sacred closing to the Sabbath. The program takes place in the University Church on selected Sabbaths throughout the year and has been a tradition at Walla Walla University for more than 50 years.
Music is provided by Kraig Scott, professor of music, and his organ and harpsichord students. Spoken word is often given by Montgomery Buell, professor of history.
Please see the Walla Walla University arts calendar for a complete listing of Evensong dates and times. Because it is timed to coincide with sundown, start times vary throughout the year.
This program is always free and open to the public. Please join us!
