Student Learning Outcomes
Students graduating with a bachelor's degree in business will:
- Possess foundational business knowledge in accounting, finance, economics, information systems, legal and social environment, management, marketing, quantitative analysis, and global issues.
- Develop the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level jobs in concentration areas (Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship & Small Business).
- Communicate effectively in business settings.
- Develop job-seeking skills, apply foundational business knowledge through internships, and secure successful placement.
- Recognize ethical dilemmas and make ethical choices in complex business situations.
- Demonstrate the ability to use artificial intelligence and other technology effectively and responsibly to support business decisions.
Students graduating with an associate degree in business will:
- Be able to record accounting transactions and interpret financial reports.
- Know how microeconomic and macroeconomic factors influence the business environment.
- Use spreadsheets and other technology to assist in business analysis and decision making.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in business settings.
- Be able to apply fundamental management and marketing principles to achieve business goals.
- Know the key legal concepts that impact business transactions and agreements.
