Student Learning Outcomes

Students graduating with a bachelor's degree in business will:

  1. Possess foundational business knowledge in accounting, finance, economics, information systems, legal and social environment, management, marketing, quantitative analysis, and global issues.
  2. Develop the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level jobs in concentration areas (Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship & Small Business).
  3. Communicate effectively in business settings.
  4. Develop job-seeking skills, apply foundational business knowledge through internships, and secure successful placement.
  5. Recognize ethical dilemmas and make ethical choices in complex business situations.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to use artificial intelligence and other technology effectively and responsibly to support business decisions.

 

Students graduating with an associate degree in business will:

  1. Be able to record accounting transactions and interpret financial reports.
  2. Know how microeconomic and macroeconomic factors influence the business environment.
  3. Use spreadsheets and other technology to assist in business analysis and decision making.
  4. Demonstrate effective communication skills in business settings.
  5. Be able to apply fundamental management and marketing principles to achieve business goals.
  6. Know the key legal concepts that impact business transactions and agreements.
