Summer Internships

Vinicius Silva - General Conference Auditing Services

As an intern at the General Conference Auditing Service (GCAS), I am performing hands-on audit tasks under the guidance of an experienced audit team. We serve the financial oversight needs of various Seventh-day Adventist Church organizations worldwide, providing financial audits, reviews, inspections, trust operations reviews, and policy compliance testing. This internship has been an incredible experience, allowing me to travel to places like Washington, D.C., Boston, and the Bermuda Islands. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the auditing profession in a supportive and dynamic environment, and I am excited to be a part of it!

Heloisa Sarli - Toyota Industries of America

I just finished a service rotation and am now starting my sales rotation at Toyota’s Regional Office in Portland, OR. This past week, I had the privilege to help plan and coordinate our Sales Excellence Ceremony, a dinner to celebrate those who excel in vehicle sales at Toyota dealerships in our districts. The theme was the Olympics, and we even had a guest Olympian, Tony Vito, attend.

Samantha Grecov Molina - Baker Boyer Bank

I am a Marketing Intern at Baker Boyer National Bank’s main branch in Walla Walla, where I apply and develop my skills in design, photography, videography, and communication. I am preparing to interview female financial advisors for a video series and document employee career testimonials. This internship has been amazing, and I’m grateful to be part of an incredible team.

Emily Vaughn - Center for Media Ministries

I’m an intern this summer at The Center for Media Ministries. I do many different jobs for my internship, including lights, video editing, inventorying film equipment, and networking! My favorite day working at my internship was when my coworkers and I went to a lighting workshop in Spokane to learn about lighting. We also got to network with many other filmmakers in the area!

Reuben Herbel - US Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District

I’m interning for the US Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District. I work in the geotechnical engineering section, which is responsible for geotechnical engineering and dam safety. I’ve been able to participate in safety inspections and assist in the installation of equipment to monitor the conditions of the dams. In the picture, I am standing on the top of Dworshak Dam in Idaho. Dworshak is the tallest straight-axis concrete gravity dam in the Western Hemisphere at 717 feet tall. It is operated by the Walla Walla district of USACE.

Savannah Veitia - District Attorney

This summer, I have been working as an intern for the District Attorney. I attend court hearings/sentencings and prepare supplemental report summaries for the DA to use in court. I also run our social media, where I post current cases to keep the public informed about murder cases, sexual assault cases, and anything else that is currently being prosecuted.
