Our story

Walla Walla College operated a dairy for more than 100 years, up through the early 1990s. At one point the farm was located where the Walla Walla University Church now stands. The dairy distributed milk cartons and dairy products like ice cream in the local community, including at the school-owned College Dairy where the ice cream was served.

Eventually the College Dairy became the College Dairy Snack Bar serving milk shakes and other goodies, eventually creating the famous Yogi Burger. This shop is now called The Express—a convenience store offering fuel, snacks, a tasty vegetarian grill, a welcoming environment, and a warm connection to Walla Walla University and the community.
