2019 off-campus programs and study-tours

The following study opportunities are available at locations other than the College Place campus in the summer of 2019. Students are encouraged to apply early to the desired program or tour, as enrollments are limited. Financial clearance and registration must be arranged in advance of study tours.


Portland Campus Nursing Program

Rosario Beach Marine Laboratory

June 24–August 15

Students planning to enroll at the Rosario Beach Marine Laboratory must apply online. A $60 non-refundable fee is required at the time of application. Limited facilities at Rosario necessitate restricted enrollments in most classes; consequently, application does not guarantee acceptance. United Kingdom Study Tour - Fully enrolled, no space available

Travel dates: June 23–July 12, 2020
Cost: $6,000 (approximately) + airfare
Directors: Dr. Karen Clausen-Brown and Dr. Greg Dodds

Course dates are June 23–July 12, 2020, with advance assignments before the tour begins and time commitment for completion of coursework afterward.

Shakespeare at Ashland

Travel dates: August 19-23, 2019
Cost: $1,510 including tuition, lodging, and tickets

ENGL 360  | 2 credits
Students will attend lectures/discussions and performances of Shakespeare plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. They will do online assignments on each play in advance and will turn in a five-page paper within two weeks of the conclusion of the tour. Students must register by June 30. This summer's line-up includes Macbeth, All's Well That ends Well, As You Like It, and a bilingual adaptation of the Comedy of Errors.
