JumpStart leaders

  • Work with a group of 15-20 freshmen during the week of JumpStart
  • Facilitate group activities
  • Lead out with ice breakers and/or team building activities
  • Provide tours of campus
  • Answer questions about campus, college life
  • Help take attendance at both general and breakout sessions
  • Check-in students at the cafeteria
  • Help incoming students connect with faculty, staff, and current students
  • Become a peer leader
  • Share your knowledge and experience of WWU
  • Share your survival tactics

Qualifications

  • Be a returning student
  • Be self-motivated
  • Have good communication skills
  • Have a 3.0 gpa or higher
  • Be available for training ALL day on Sept. 15
  • Be available to work days and some evenings the week of Sept. 15-20
