Senior Test Requirements

Seniors students are required to take the Area Concentration Achievement Test (ACAT) in Art. Please contact the Testing Center at extension 2147 for information and to sign up for the test.

Senior students are required to take the Major Field Test (MFT) in Chemistry prior to graduation. Please look over the following information and be responsible for contacting the Testing Center at extension 2147 to sign up for your exam.

Senior students are required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE General) prior to graduation. Please look over the following information and be responsible for registering for your exam.

Senior students are required to take the Major Field Test (MFT) in Biology or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE Subject) in Physics prior to graduation. Please look over the following information and be responsible for registering for your exam.

All communications graduating senior requirements are through the department. There are no requirements through the Counseling and Testing Center. See your advisor for departmental testing requirements.

All languages graduating senior students are required to take the Writing Proficiency Test (WPT) and the Oral Proficiency Interview by computer (OPIc) prior to graduation. Please look over the following information and be responsible for contacting the Testing Center at extension 2147 to sign up for your exam.

Senior students must take the Washington Educators Skills Test (WEST-E) or the National Evaluation Series (NES) examination in their respective teaching area before they begin their student teaching. Please contact the Testing Center at extension 2147 or the Education Department at extension 2211 for information regarding these tests.

There are no exit exam requirements prior to graduation. If continuing with graduate studies be advised that most graduate schools do require a test.

All Nursing senior requirements are through the School of Nursing. The testing is done during a required class NRSG 450: NCLEX Review. There are no requirements through the Counseling and Testing Center.

Bachelor Social Work graduating seniors are required to take the Social Work Education Assessment Project (SWEAP) Exit Survey and Master Social Work graduating students are required to take the Social Work Education Assessment Project (SWEAP) Graduate Survey prior to graduation. Please contact the Testing Center at extension 2147 for more information.
