Tavita Talev is joining Walla Walla University as a HR Specialist and Payroll Coordinator. She comes from Michigan where she worked as an account manager at Eaton Aerospace. She has professional certificates from Summa Learning Center, EduTek Training Center, and LifeSkills Center of Akron. Tavita also has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Tavita has a daughter named Aleksandra, and a dog, Guido, and a cat, Amoret. She enjoys birding, hiking, kayaking, gardening, outdoor activities, cooking, baking, and outreach.
Tavita is looking forward to meeting everyone and is open to any recommendations of things to do in the surrounding area.
Leasha Simafranca will be the new Instructor of Nursing in Portland. Leasha was previously a Head Charge Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Portland Adventist Medical Center. Leasha attended Maplewood Academy in MN and graduated with her BSN from Union College and is currently pursuing her MSN.
Leasha was born and lived in Walla Walla until age 8. After moving all over the US, she returned for her first nursing job in the medical ICU at Walla Walla General.
Leasha is married to Jeff Simafranca, a nursing graduate from WWU, and they have an Australian shepherd named, Laylee. She enjoys hiking, board games, interior decorating and organizing.
