Dear Faculty and Staff of Walla Walla University:
This year United Way allocated over $268,000 to our valley through programs such as Meals on Wheels, Camp Fire After School, Emergency Health & Human Services, Adult Literacy, Domestic Violence, and Home Team/ Parent Aide, to name a few. These programs have a common theme; each address Health, Income, and Education, which we strongly believe impact quality of life and are a basic human right for every person. When you chose to donate to United Way, you do so with peace of mind because each year we recruit a committee of diverse community members to review applications for funding requests and make site visits to each of the agencies applying. Community members volunteered over 350 hours to ensure your hard earned dollars are used in the most impactful way in our community.
United Way of Walla Walla County is thankful for the generous support of the staff and faculty at Walla Walla University and we believe that you share in the same values we have mentioned above. It is our request that you continue this tradition of giving and invite those that have not, to join us in participating in this year’s United Way campaign.
