Preparing for Virtual Commencement
While graduation weekend festivities this year are not what we hoped they would be, Walla Walla University will honor and celebrate your achievements at a virtual commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 14, at 10 a.m.
You’ll find resources below to help you announce, prepare for, and participate in the virtual commencement celebration.
The class of 2020 is invited to march in-person during the 2021 commencement services on Centennial Green.
Announce your graduation

Graduate students
In-person hooding ceremonies for graduate students are currently being planned for August 2020. Order your regalia from Herff Jones for these ceremonies.
The specific dates for the Hooding Ceremony on each campus are:
- August 9, 2020, 2 p.m. | Missoula, Montana (Social Work)
- August 16, 2020, 1 p.m. | Billings, Montana (Social Work)
- August 30, 2020, 2 p.m. | College Place, WA (Biology; Cinema, Religion & Worldview; Education; Social Work)
Note: All In-Person WWU Graduate Hooding Ceremonies planned for August will be contingent upon individual State protocols and recommendations for large gatherings and/or escalating COVID-19 activity in the specific community where the service will be held.
