The Walla Walla University men’s basketball team has been named the Adidas Team of the Week for Nov. 2–8, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
 
The new CCC member, Walla Walla University, made a splash in their opening non-conference games in men’s basketball going 2–0 at the Taco Bell Shootout hosted by College of Idaho.
 
In what may be their biggest win in program history, the WWU Wolves were victorious 72–67 over the University of Montana Western, who is ranked 23rd in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, Division I. Chad Torkelsen led WWU with 19-points to defeat the Bulldogs.
 
On Friday the Wolves defeated Northwest Indian College 90–85 in game one of the tournament. Torkelsen also led WWU with 23 points. With the two wins, the Wolves shared the tournament champion title with tournament hosts, College of Idaho.
 
Walla Walla University will host New Hope Christian on Nov. 14 for their home opener.
