CURRICULUM LIBRARY

The Curriculum library assistant will help faculty and students find materials, check items in and out, shelve returns, keep the collections organized, and other duties as assigned by the director. Fall quarter hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:50 to 3:50 pm. Please be sure you have these hours available when you apply. CUSTODIAL CREW MEMBER

Make friends and listen to your favorite playlist while you perform general cleaning duties on our lovely campus. Really cool custodians work 2 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week. DATA ENTRY

Are you analytically inclined, accurate in typing skills and have high ethical standards for confidentiality? Read on and apply!  This position requires the highest degree of accuracy, ability to read/decipher handwriting, and analyze present data to determine missing critical data. Some phone calls may be required to gather absent information to complete the input tasks. This is one of the most critical tasks in our office because it is the beginning point for future students' contact with WWU. The duration of the job will be until Christmas break or until the data tasks are completed.  This would make a great supplemental job.  Work could include up to 5 hours a week, so the ability to have a hour a day or a 5-hour workweek is required for consideration. FLAG FOOTBALL OFFICIAL

You will be administering flag football games for intramurals. This position requires a knowledge of football at as a minimum requirement. Knowledge of the rules can be taught on the job. Previous officiating experience is preferred. Each game runs approximating 65 minutes in length (2-20 minute run time halves, plus halftime), and you must show up at least 15 minutes before game time. FLOOR CREW MEMBER

Only the brave few can be a Floor Crew Member!  Gain blue collar work experience and learn a trade!  Floor crew members clean carpets and polish tile floors.   Gain the sense of satisfaction from making dull and dirty floors into amazing shiny and beautiful floors.   Position is part-time when classes are in session, typically working every Sunday.  To be a part of this elite special force of floor maintenance technicians you must be able to commit to working most of each break and full-time for summer.  Summer shifts vary including graveyard (7 p.m. – 4 a.m.) depending upon the surface cleaning needs.  Floor care experience is preferred but not required.  Submit Online Student Employment Application.  Then, contact Student Employment and request application to be sent to the Custodial Department.  Feel free to schedule an interview by emailing custodial@wallawalla.edu or 509-527-2162.

MUSIC DEPARTMENT

The Music Department is looking for a student with sound recording experience to assist with recording concerts. Most events would take place in the evenings or on weekends. Responsibilities would include showing up early to events to coordinate with performers, recording the event, and editing the recording for distribution. Previous work experience in running sound boards, setting up microphones, and using recording software is preferred. POSTIVE LIFE RADIO

Positive Life Radio reaches a large section of central and southeast Washington, northeast Oregon, and parts of Idaho in addition to an online presence with listeners from around the world. We provide encouragement to tens of thousands of people each week through our Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) programming. Students of WWU have the opportunity to be a part of this ministry through our student intern program. You'll learn how to provide engaging and relevant content to the audience via on-air and through social media. The main focus will be to train for being an on-air personality, though through this internship, there will be other assorted duties ranging from office work to audio production to the ever exciting duties as assigned (sometimes that means getting to go to concerts for free). No prior experience is necessary (who has that anyways?), and you don't have to be any specific major. We've had all sorts of backgrounds do well - from Communications to Theology to History and Business. We've even had Aviation and Social Work majors! **Important** Keep an eye out for an update on when we will be holding open auditions. The exact date is still being worked out, but it will be during the first week of school. 

RESEARCH ASSISTANTS

Communications and Languages chair needs assistants for departmental and scholarly research.  Requires curiosity, organizational abilities, and patience, as well as the initiative to be a self-starter but the detail-orientation to get everything right.  Experience with Office Suite, previous research, and SPSS desired.  Approximatly 12-15 hr/wk and extends into the school year. Village Housing is seeking Area Coordinators for the 2017 - 2018 school year. Applicants must be living in Village Housing during the school year. Responsibilities include building relationships with students who reside in your Village Housing area.  Maintaining safety and cleanliness in your area and assist students. ANIMAL SHELTER FOSTER PROGRAM COORDINATOR

The Blue Mountain Humane Society has a position available for a foster program coordinator. The position includes developing a long-term foster program, create forms for the foster program. SITE DIRECTOR

Camp Fire Walla Walla is looking for a couple of Site Directors for their after school program at the elementary schools. You would be in charge of 20-30 kids, 1-2 staff members, and overseeing the program. We have a snack time, homework/reading time, and activities such as crafts, gym, or outside time. Position requirements include 21+ and 40+ college credits. Must be willing to get certifications under our Department of Early Learning licensor (first aid/CPR, background check, etc.) The hours for this position are 2:00-5:30 PM (M, T, TH F) and 1:00-5:30 PM (Wed) for about 20hrs/week. ACADEMIC MATH TUTOR

GEAR UP is currently seeking part-time math tutors for its program at Garrison Middle School. GEAR UP stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs and follows students with college readiness programming from their 6th grade year to their first year in college. AUDIO-VISUAL TECHNICIAN

This is a year-round, part-time position, which works an average of four hours per week with seasonal flexibility. The technician will be responsible for making sure Walla Walla Presbyterian Church’s audio-visual operations are coordinated for each Sunday and as needed throughout the week for various activities in the sanctuary. The technician will assure that the lights, sound, and other presentation components are set up and work well for our Sunday worship services and special programs. MUSIC COORDINATOR

The Music Coordinator, in close cooperation and with the support of the Worship Committee and Pastor, shall: Be responsible for planning, rehearsing and directing the choir for the worship services of the congregation. The choir is expected to participate during two services each month, September through May. The Choir will participate in worship for Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Festival Sundays of Easter, Pentecost, and Reformation. The choir will lead the congregation in the psalm on the Sundays it participates in service. Plan and lead choir rehearsals each Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:00 pm from September through May. Attend monthly Worship Committee meetings and meet with the pastor and choir accompanist on a regular basis. Choose appropriate music and psalm tones for the liturgical season. Maintain the choir library. 6. Purchase new music as needed while staying within the budget. Provide information about choir selections for the bulletin. Other special music contributions to worship, such as soloists, ensembles, etc. will be scheduled through the Music Coordinator. For the above duties performed, the Music Coordinator shall be compensated on a monthly basis the dollar amount designated by the Congregation Council via the Personnel Committee of the Board of Trustees. NURSING ATTENDANT
