Endowment Gifts

Make your gift last for the long-term

Endowments are gifts that keep on giving. They provide a permanent and secure source of income for the university. Most WWU endowments have been established specifically to benefit student aid, and also to honor family members or other special people. Walla Walla University’s General Endowment Fund provides the university with unrestricted income that can be applied to the greatest need.

With endowments, funds are invested for long-term growth. Only interest from the fund’s principal is spent on the designated purpose; the principal itself is not spent. The interest earnings may also be reverted back to the principal.

An endowment may be established with a gift or gifts totaling $25,000 or more. A gift of any size may be given to an existing endowment.
