Andrew Carrington became a member of the Walla Walla University Board of Trustees in 2011. He graduated from Oakwood University in 1987 with a degree in history, and then attended Howard University School of Law.
An attorney, Carrington is a member of the diversity committee, disciplinary board, and judicial selection committee board for the Washington Bar Association. In 1990, he was the lead article editor for the Howard Law Review. During that time, he published “Failure to State Relevant Information on Bar Admission Application: A Question of Moral Character” in the publication.
Born in Guyana, Carrington now lives in Renton, Wash. with his wife Mattie. They have three children, Alexandria, who is a graduate student at Loma Linda, Nia who is a sophomore at Oakwood University, and Andrew Jr., who attends Puget Sound Academy.
