ZIEGELEArthur John 48 was born April 27, 1914, in Hazelton, N.D., and died Dec.18, 2001, in Walla Walla. Art gave 42 years of devoted service to Walla Walla College. The first four years he taught in the Industrial Arts Department, and the remainder of his service was as powerhouse engineer. Art tried to retire twice, but each time the college persuaded him not to leave. He finally succeeded in retiring in 1986 at the age of 72. Surviving: wife Ellen (Ogren) 40 of Walla Walla; sons Calvin Roy att., and Richard Dick John att., of Pendleton, Ore.; daughters M. Alice Laabs 86 of Baker City, Ore., V.
