Freshman Mentoring Program

Worried about whether you will succeed in college? Our Freshman Mentoring Program provides you with a personal mentor, to help you navigate the first year of college. Your specially trained mentor checks in with you each week and connects you with resources to help with academic, social, financial, and other issues that sometimes create challenges during the first year.

We have found the program increases the likelihood that a student will stay in college -- and students find it improves their grade-point average. We want every freshman to have access to these advantages, so participation in the program is required.

A program fee is applied to each freshman's statement each quarter.

For more information, please contact the Student Success Coordinator in person at Canaday Technology Center room 310, by email at jennifer.carter@wallawalla.edu, or by phone at (509) 527-2715.
