Summer Crew 2010

Services

The Custodial & Grounds Department cleans the majority of the buildings on Walla Walla University’s College Place Campus, including housekeeping in the dormitories, as well as all basic maintenance, landscaping, and irrigation around academic buildings and university owned apartments. We also do lawn upkeep on some houses.

If you have questions or concerns regarding the cleaning of a building, please contact either the building coordinator or Anne Trunkey (e-mail anne.trunkey@wallawalla.edu).

Exterior windows on all campus buildings are cleaned during the summers, approximately every two years. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments please email us or call (509) 527-2162.

About the Department

Our office is located directly behind the Administration Building.  You'll see a bright red door with our logo on it.

With approximately 100 employees during the school year, the Custodial & Grounds Department is able to provide many students with job opportunities. Students working for this department enjoy the afternoon or evening hours and flexible work schedule that are necessary for college students. To apply, see the [Job Openings] page.

The department is divided into crews of about three to eight students each. Each crew has a designated area and a supervisor, either staff or student, who is responsible for overseeing that area. To see who supervises your area, see the [Supervisors] page.
