University Planning

Walla Walla University has a long history in the Walla Walla Valley and the Pacific Northwest as a valued institution of higher education. Founded as Walla Walla College in 1892, the University has sustained a reputation for exemplary education in a Seventh-day Adventist Christian context. WWU offers all qualified students the potential of gaining a wholistic education with the University’s emphasis on the core themes:

  • Excellence in Thought
  • Generosity in Service
  • Beauty in Expression
  • Faith in God.

Walla Walla University embraces these values and integrates them into the life of the institution and the experience of every student. As WWU continues to envision and work toward its future, these core themes, in the context of the needs of its constituents and trends in higher education, will guide the planning of the University.
