The Walla Walla College women’s volleyball team is fifth in the nation, after finishing up at the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association national championship last weekend.
The Wolves finished fourth at the tournament last year, and although they had hoped to do better this year, they still played an excellent game, according to coach Don Hepker.
In addition, several team members were honored at the tournament. Junior Kelsey Bowen and senior Danielle Braggs both received First-team All-American honors. Bowen joined Melissa Bradford, senior; Melissa McEwen, junior; and Josselyn Peterson, junior, on the Scholastic All-American team.
Held at Taylor University in Fort Wayne, Ind., the USCAA is a national tournament designed for small colleges and universities like WWC.
