Winter Quarter Week of Worship

ASWWU sponsored services focus on worship

A student speaks for CommUnity during a 2008 Week of Worship.

Every fall, winter, and spring quarter, Walla Walla University hosts a Week of Worship (WOW).  Each week is a little different; some have a featured speaker, others highlight student speakers, and still others showcase faculty and staff speakers.  The idea for the week is always to focus on worshipping God, with a theme and an accompanying theme song.

Winter Quarter 2009’s WOW will take place January 12-17, and is organized by ASWWU, the university’s associated students.  Speakers are all WWU students, and the theme is “Still Looking?”  The speaker schedule is as follows:

Monday, January 12: Jon Nickell & Serena Aufderhar
Tuesday, January 13: Amber Fadell & John Lubke
Wednesday, January 14: Sarah Radelfinger 7 Abby Higgins
Thursday, January 15: Montana Conley & Joe Tua
Friday (morning), January 16: Parnell Ballard & Yuliana Panjaitan
Friday (vespers), January 16: Ona Claney
Sabbath, January 17 (FirstServe): Tiberius Tolan
Sabbath, January 17 (Second Service): Sheldon Parris

Morning WOW services are at 11 a.m., Friday vespers is at 8 p.m., FirstServe is at 9:30 a.m., and Second Service begins at 11:45 a.m.  All services are held in the Walla Walla University Church.  WWU students may receive CommUnity credit for attending any of the Monday-Friday services.
