Windows 8 App Challenge

Microsoft student representative brings App Challenge to WWU

By: Emily Forshee, Rory Ross

Junior business student, Rory Ross, recently covered Microsoft’s “Imagine Cup” as the sole student blogger covering the international event.

Since Ross's successful blogging experience with Microsoft, he now takes on his role as the Microsoft representative for Walla Walla University.

Ross has created a Facebook and Twitter page and has already done an Amazon Gift Card Drawing this summer.

Now Ross invites WWU students, other college students and high schoolers in the area to take on the Windows 8 App Challenge.

"Microsoft is releasing Windows 8 on Oct. 26 and for the launch wants to have a plethora of apps ready to go. Currently they have many developers already hard at work developing apps for the new platform. But they want to give you guys, the students, a chance to participate in making an app for Windows 8 and give you great incentives to do so!" says Ross.

Read Ross's blog to learn about how you can get involved with the App Challenge.
