The Walla Walla University Church has planned a special camp meeting for Sept. 7 and 8, at the University Church.

The theme of the weekend is “Courage In A World of Change.” The weekend will include a variety of speakers and programs for the whole family.

On Friday, 7 p.m. children’s programs and locations include:
Grades 1 – 4: Primary 2 Room
Grades 5 – 8: Junior High Room
Grades 9 – 12: Youth Room

Pastor Alex Bryan will be speaking Friday at 7 p.m. about Joshua 1 in the church sanctuary.

On Sabbath families are encouraged to sit together for the 9:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. services. Regular Sabbath school services will be held as usual.

Pastor Troy Fitzgerald will speak for the 9:30 a.m. service on Joshua 2. Paul Dybdahl, professor of religion, will present the adult Sabbath School lesson at 10:30 a.m. Emily Flottmann, Pastor for Spiritual Development, will speak for the 11:45 a.m. service on Joshua 3 and 4.

At 1:30 p.m. there will be a Sabbath Picnic Lunch on the Administration Building lawn of the university campus. Church members are invited to bring picnic food, blankets and chairs, tables, etc., with enough to share with visitors.

In the afternoon Kris Loewen, Youth Pastor, will speak about Joshua 5 at 4 p.m. Lastly, Dave Thomas, dean of the WWU School of Theology, will speak about Joshua 6 at 7 p.m.

The children’s programs on Sabbath afternoon at 4 p.m. include:
Grades 1 – 4: Primary 2 Room
Grades 5 – 12: Outdoor Outing

The children’s programs on Sabbath evening at 7 p.m. include:
Grades 1 – 4: Fellowship Hall
Grades 5 – 12: Jesus Statue Plaza
