encourages participation in Student Mission program

Mission Emphasis Week, Jan. 18-21, is a time when WWC students are encouraged to learn more about the Student Missions program. Recruiters from mission posts around the world are on campus to meet students and explain the special challenges and rewards of the job during a special series of events:

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the café:
ˇ    Information about Student Missions
ˇ    Send a note to a Student Missionary
ˇ    Summer Camp Recruiters
ˇ    International Recruiters
ˇ    North American Task Force Recruiters

Wednesday
7:30-9:30 a.m.  Info breakfast for those interested in student missions, Spiritual Life Activities Center, 313 S. College Ave.

8:00-10:00 p.m.  Note-writing to outgoing, current, and returned Student Missionaries, Sittner and Foreman Halls

Thursday
International Dress Day - Don your most interesting international outfit and stop by the SM office for pictures and treats

4:30-6:30 p.m.  Interest sessions for specific international regions. Bring your supper to chat with returned SMs and others interested in missions, Alaska Room

7:00-9:00 p.m.  Note-writing to outgoing, current, and returned Student Missionaries, Sittner and Foreman Halls

8:00 p.m.  SM worship featuring a returned SM.  This new worship option offers small group credit and will continue every other week, Conard Chapel

Friday
7:30 p.m.  Student Missions Vespers featuring Melinda Hebbel and Clark Bassham, College Church

Saturday
1:15 p.m.  Potluck for outgoing SMs, returned SMs, Servants of the Master Club, and anyone supportive of student missions. Students don’t need to bring food; it will be provided by faculty and staff in support of Student Missions, College Church Fellowship Hall
