I Cantori, Walla Walla University’s select choir, will perform in Washington, Montana, and Idaho April 3-6 for a total of five performances on their spring tour, themed “God is a Rock: A Sense of Place.” Directed by Kraig Scott, the choir will perform at Upper Columbia Academy, Mount Ellis Academy, and Gem State Academy, as well as at the Cloverdale Seventh-day Adventist Church in Boise.
This tour completes a three-year cycle of visiting all the North Pacfic Union Conference academies with the 42-member auditioned group. “We hope to inspire the academy students with beautiful music of God’s love and let them know that exciting opportunities await them, should they choose to attend Walla Walla University. It is also great fun for academy alumnae in the group to revisit their alma maters,” adds Scott. I Cantori will be performing at Gem State Academy as part of their alumni weekend.
Another highlight of the trip will be a choral exchange with the Idaho State University Chamber Singers, directed by Scott Anderson. The performance exchange will be an opportunity for both choirs to learn from and inspire each other.
